At our recent coffee morning to distribute funds raised at Bramshott Open Gardens 2022 the gorgeous duo Glynnis Blake and Zoe Wright were on hand to receive a cheque for £3,000 on behalf of Liphook Food Bank from Open Gardens Chair, Fiona Grist.
This hugely deserving cause has delivered over 100,000 meals to local families in need since the start of the Covid pandemic and their work needs our ongoing support.
Glynnis told us that the money would help fund the purchase and installation of a second container to sit alongside their existing one.
You may have seen their food collection points at Liphook Sainsbury’s, Liphook Coop and St Mary’s Church amongst other places. They have a close relationship with Liphook Junior School who recently held a mufti day to raise funds.
What you may not realise is that whilst they do receive lots of donations, most of what they provide to local families has to be bought. So next time you’re shopping perhaps consider popping a few extra items in your trolley and drop it off at the collection point on the way out.
Search for Liphook Food Bankon Facebook where they regularly share posts about what their urgent needs are.
